To access these functions, click on ‘Parameters’ Tab and then ‘Retrieve’ button to download the current configuration parameters. Some of these settings can be changed via the Ditch Assist App, so are not covered here. Any setting we don’t specifically identify below should not be changed or system performance may be affected.

ONCE YOU HAVE CHANGED ANY OF THESE SETTINGS YOU MUST MAKE SURE THE BOX NEXT TO EACH SETTING IS CHECKED, THEN CLICK ‘SET’ TO PROGRAM THE NEW VALUES. ANY NEW SETTINGS WILL NOT TAKE EFFECT UNTIL YOU POWER CYCLE THE CONTROL MODULE

Valve Override Timeout

How long Ditch Assist will keep trying to drive the valve in one direction. Default is 30 seconds. After this time, we assume the hydraulic cylinder has reached the end of its travel. Usually no need to adjust this setting, but if you have a reason to then it may be adjusted.

Set Point Threshold (General Valve Control Algorithm Parameters)

Default setting 10mm

This setting adjusts how close to the target elevation is considered sufficient to stop driving the valve. A value to 10mm means that if the current implement height, as reported by the GPS, is within 10mm of the target height then the valve won’t be driven. Typically with RTK we found this to be a suitable setting because setting it lower meant that the hydraulics were constantly trying to account for minor fluctuations in the GPS readings. If using a less accurate GPS correction then it may be necessary to increase this value.

Wi-Fi SSID and Password

Use this to set a new SSID (Wi-Fi network name) and/or password

Dozer Mode

Default setting: 0 (disabled). Change value to 1 to enable

If our Dozer harness is being used then Dozer Mode needs to be enabled. Dozer harness is designed to connect to existing factory valves and allow manual controls to override Ditch Assist. The foot switch on the dozer harness must be pressed to re-engage Ditch Assist control. If the Control Module is set in Dozer Mode then by default the Ditch Assist controls are locked upon power-on, and the only way to activate Ditch Assist control is via the foot switch on the dozer harness. If a Control Module will sometimes be used with and sometimes without the dozer harness then Dozer Mode will need to be turned off before it can be used without the dozer harness (otherwise the controls will be locked and Ditch Assist will not be able to operate the valve).

GPS Baud Rate

Default setting: 38,400

If your GPS doesn’t have an option for a baud rate of 38,400 then use this setting to change the baud rate expected by the Control Module. It is recommended you try 19,200 or 57,600 as alternatives.
